Dear friends in an awakening world,

The throat chakra is called Viśuddhi Chakra, which can be translated as 'very clean' or 'intensely purified.' It is the center of your ultimate purification, where you turn away from everything that appears and focus your gaze exclusively on the eternal Seer, or awareness itself. On your journey of consciousness, you now want to realize the Self and turn away from the world for this final discovery. This chakra is about retreating from the world of form to find out who you are, and on your journey of consciousness, it marks the ‘point’ where witnessing turns into abidance.

The element of the throat chakra is ether or space, reflecting your spacious essence. Instead of conceiving yourself as a limited construct or focal point within a space of awareness, this chakra discovery offers you the chance to perceive yourself as that spacious awareness itself and to realize what in you is no longer bound by the mind.

While the heart is still invested in the unified phenomena that arise within awareness, the throat chakra represents detachment and letting go of what is perceivable. You turn toward and rest in nothingness, no longer running from this surrender to the blankness of being, and ready to let go of your previously assumed sense of self.

All stories of the personal construct, including all spiritual stories, archetypal ideas, soul aspects, deep-seated soul identities, or your life's memories, are meant to be negated as not-self. When you discredit everything that isn't essentially you, you automatically arrive at who you truly are.

Entering Viśuddhi implies a movement into Sattva (purity and serenity); with it, you are willing to turn away from the movements (rajas) of the ephemeral world and go beyond appearances. As you rest more consciously in the Self, a greater stillness makes itself known. Fewer thoughts will arise, and silence will pull you in and envelop you more often during your days. Allowing that silence and staying with it becomes crucial now.

This kind of purity opens the door for grace to enter, as the soul finally surrenders to something deeper than personal motivations or its own journey. By now you also know that what you are is not subject to birth or death, linearity or locality.

To come closer to realization means sincerely inquiring into who you are and entering the immediate experience of your own mind and its last tales of Self. No one else can do this for you. Purity comes through a process of sobering, and wisdom is born of greater discrimination of what you are not. It moves you away from a consumerist spirituality into the deliberate deconstruction of your mind and the return to your essential nature.

With it, the deep peace of the Self becomes known to you as a milestone of your movement beyond the mind. In Viśuddhi, the peace of your nature reveals itself, and you come to know a contentment without cause. You come to know this equanimity as underlying all experience and ever-expanding by itself.
