The sacral chakra on the path of Self-realization: Awakening beyond emotions and sensations
Dear friends in an awakening world,
The sacral chakra is called SvÄdhiį¹£į¹hÄna Chakra. 'Sva' means ‘its own' or 'Self,' and 'adhiį¹£į¹hÄna' means 'power,' denoting the power of ‘You’ as consciousness to create reality in perfect alignment with each person’s unique exploration. Throughout your life, your true Self is already at the root of every desire, idea, and life path, as the vaster intelligence that designs and orchestrates all of Creation, thereby infinitely exploring and discovering itself.
This chakra concerns the formation of the "egoic personal construct" and direct encounters with ‘others’ as opportunities for personal learning, greater self-awareness, opening to love, and spiritual awakening. In this chakra discovery, ‘others’ must be reintegrated into the understanding that all is Self and that situations always support everyone’s learning, not just yours. As appearances are recognized as expressions of your vaster Self, yet never truly ‘You’ at the level of pure awareness, perceptions and all given meanings can be re-evaluated or denied credit altogether.
The sacral chakra is also connected to more subtle layers of the unconscious and, with it, to the world of emotions, creativity, and sexuality (often catalyzed and displayed through the encounter with ‘other’). At this 'stage' of the consciousness journey, your growing recognition that form is fluid and arises both in and out of the sea of Self allows you to experience manifested reality as increasingly lucid and malleable. It also makes you aware of the collective unconscious and its conditioned themes, emotions, and thought forms. Negative emotions being washed through the collective mind often foster separatist patterns of self-sabotage, victimization, me-against-them, control, competition, jealousy, or envy that tend to flare up the closer you come to true spiritual awakening. Learning to pause and detach from emotions and sensations helps you release reactivity, compulsions, and resistance that otherwise often happen on autopilot.
Similarly, sexuality can be a source of suffering, as unconscious drives, compulsions, or power dynamics strengthen dualistic perceptions, and unquestioned patterns within collective consciousness all point back to the ego's fundamental need to keep itself alive by asserting itself over others. Domination or victimization as ingrained programs of the collective unconscious can be brought into your awareness and released. Sexual sensations can be disidentified from. As you increasingly understand yourself as awareness, separation begins to fade, and stories of shame, blame, and guilt can be illuminated and shed through non-resistance, forgiveness, and unconditional acceptance of everyone’s chosen path and learnings.
